Printer’s Briefs

You have to see this show. It’s a bit of a trek from the rest of the fringe? Doesn’t matter, you have to see this show. You don’t really care for Pinter. Do you like to watch amazing professional acting? Then you need to see this show.

I could not stop watching Simon Webb’s face, each character was so different, so distinct down to the subtlest of facial ticks and expressions, the way he ate a piece of bread the way he held a coffee cup and drank imaginary tea that was so well performed you could see the tea.  Anthony Ingram, Simon Webb and Kevin Williamson are great actors, the kind you want to study, the kind you want to ask, “where did you study?” They looked studied, yet not stiff, stylized yes, crafted yes, but not stiff.

The directing is great, the use of the half lights during scene changes when the actors change on the stage and you can see them change in character. The use of the stage, the simple props and costumes, everything was just perfect. Try to put this show in your list and make the extra trip because you do not want to miss these performers.
